Game of Thrones: The Exhibition

This October, fans of Game of Thrones will have a unique opportunity to step into the world of Westeros. Game of Thrones: The Exhibition, a brand-new showcase featuring original costumes and props from the acclaimed HBO series, will open at the Arlington Museum of Art on October 4, 2025.

Created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and the Game of Thrones production archives team, the exhibition will feature over 60 iconic costumes spanning all eight seasons. Highlights include Daenerys Targaryen’s majestic dragon-scale gowns and Jon Snow’s battle-worn Night’s Watch ensemble.

Alongside these legendary outfits, visitors will find behind-the-scenes images, design sketches, and insights into the artistry and historical influences that shaped the show’s visual storytelling. According to organizers, the exhibition is a tribute to the work of the show’s award-winning costume designer and the many skilled production artists who brought George R.R. Martin’s world to life.

Running through April 5, 2026, this will be the only location hosting the exhibition. The museum, situated between Dallas and Fort Worth near AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, is becoming known for showcasing pop culture phenomena. Recent exhibitions have included Disney costume collections, looks from the 2024 film Wicked, and rare photos of Princess Diana.

Although Game of Thrones was a mature series, the exhibit itself is designed to be family-friendly, with content that appeals to longtime fans and curious newcomers alike.

“This exhibition is more than a tribute to the world of Game of Thrones,” says Kendall Quirk, the museum’s director of exhibitions. “It’s a celebration of the fandom and the many artists whose craftsmanship helped create one of television’s most iconic series.”

Tickets are priced at $25 and will be available beginning August 1. Advance reservations are recommended due to expected high demand.
